Investment:

One participant--$1,850 if fully paid by January 1, 2016 and $1950 if paid thereafter. A roommate will be arranged for you. You will share a hotel room with two double beds and bathroom. A single room can be arranged for an additional fee.

Camp Registration includes:

  • Five full days of lectures, training and personal feedback in all three disciplines. Participants will leave camp with key take-away points specific to their personal form and mechanic improvements via video analysis in the swim and run.
  • Individual video analysis for Swim, Bike, and Run Sessions with individually focused correctives to address.
  • Complimentary 30 minute nutritional session (POST-camp) with Coach and Registered Dietitian, Kim Schwabenbauer, to follow up on nutritional direction of each athlete.
  • Five vibrant healthy team lunches modeled after the nutritional principals that will be taught at camp.
  • Three team dinners that with a range of local foods incorporated served buffet style, ending with a team BBQ on Friday evening.

What are you responsible for?

Transportation:

  • Athletes will be responsible for transportation to Ormond Beach with their training equipment: the same equipment you will bring to a race (swim/bike/run gear). If flying, the Sanford (SFB) airport is the preferred Orlando airport is the airport and is approximately a 45 minute drive to Ormond Beach. The Orlando (MCO) airport is also accessible at 1.5 hours away.
  • Should you wish to rent a car, we encourage athletes to coordinate and share rental vehicles, but it’s not necessary as we will transport athletes to and from camp locations via van once arriving at the host hotel.

IMPORTANT: The camp begins at 8am on Tuesday March 22nd and ends at 4pm on Saturday March 26th. It is essential that you plan your travel arrangements so that you can participate fully in the entire camp. Hotel check-in will begin on Monday March 21 and athletes must check out by Sunday March 27th.

Kim

Kim Schwbenbauer, USA Triathlon Level One Coach, RD, CSSD is a graduate of Penn State University’s Nutrition Program and has over 13 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian. Her work as a Triathlon Coach, Professional Triathlete and Board Certified Specialist in Sports Nutrition drove her to found her personal sports nutrition counseling & endurance coaching business, “Fuel Your Passion”. Kim has coached and counseled over seventy athletes to personal success in triathlon and over two hundred nutrition clients. Kim has appeared on national TV as a dietitian and coach for the hit show, MTV “Made” and is currently ranked in the top 40 female triathletes in the world. Dennis Mohagen, USA Triathlon Level One Coach NASM CPT, PES, CES, Metabolic Efficiency Specialist, IRONMAN Certified Coach has been involved as an athlete and coach in Triathlon since 1993. As an athlete and coach he has had the opportunity to train, race and learn from many of the best athlete in the sport, including multiple ITU and IRONMAN World Champions and their coaches. Dennis has helped age group athletes complete their first triathlon, qualify for ITU Worlds, IRONMAN 70.3 Worlds and for IRONMAN Hawaii.

Coach Dennis places a strong emphasis on bio-mechanical efficiency in all three discipline, Program Design for the passionate age-grouper with full-time responsibilities, and achieving results that exceed expectations.

On-site professional bike mechanic services by The Bike Shop.

  • The Bike Shop (link to http://www.thebikeshoponline.com/) will be available at the Sleep Inn providing NO-CHARGE bike labor on Tuesday evening on Wednesday, March 23 for a 2 hour period. Labor includes anything that takes under 15min and doesn't include new parts. For example, adjustments to derailleurs, brakes, wheels, headset, bars, lube chain, etc. This will ensure that all athletes have properly working bikes by the start of the camp!
  • The Bike Shop will also offer bike build services, tune up services and fit services which can be purchased separated at a discounted rate for camp.
  • The Bike Shop will SAG all bike workouts. This will include tools for on-site repairs, spare parts (wheels, etc), pump, etc. All athletes should still be prepared with their own flat kit.

Optional Lactate Threshold Testing will be available for an additional charge! Stay tuned for details!
